Raw wool can be made into a number of things - a colleague of mine made wool felted bags. I think wool-felting is quite a popular craft in Australia and some european states - they focus more on bags, hats and shawls. The Japanese are having more fun with making little cute animals and creatures. Guess which camp I'm going into.... : )Anyway, if you are interested in wool-felting, google and youtube the topic. There are some books in the national library that will give you some idea about getting started. If you like making animals and creatures, the books at kinokuniya are a really good resource - whether you read japanese or not.
I got the wool and felting needles from Golden Dragon store in Chinatown. It's a really good place to find craft materials. Happy felting!!!
